Today’s travel tip is how to stretch your travel budget.  Saving money when you travelling gives you money in your pocket to do to do  and see more.  Everyone likes to enjoy themselves and splurge a bit when travelling.  How to do both is the question. Well you’ve heard of the new sites that get you amazing deals Groupon, Living SocialKGB right? Deals on everything from Spa days, drinks, meals, tours, and shopping, you name it there’s been a deal for it  If you haven’t check them out and save money in your home town. They are also in other cities around the world.   So when you are planning your next trip sign up for that cities deals.  Here is a list of sites to get you started.

Yipit – This one is the place to start if you are going anywhere in  North America, it will (based on your preferences when you sign up) agrigate all the deals for the city you select!  It couldn’t be easier, one sign up covers you for many sites offerings.

Groupon – The most well known one can be found accross Europe including Germany,  the UK,  Ireland,  France,  Spain,  Italy,  Switzerland,  Austria,  Poland,  Finland,  Denmark,  TurkeySweden,  the Netherlands, and soon, Norway and Belgium.  They have started in Asia now covering Gropon Hong KongGroupon Singapore, Groupon Philippines and Groupon Taiwan. Don’t worry if you don’t speak the language, google will translate for you.

In Australia there is Stardeals (by Groupon) but your best bet is to go to the aggregating site All the Deals where like Yipit you will find a round up of all the deals around Australia.

New Zealand you will find: Daily Do, Groupy, and Daily Offer

Groupon is spreading fast, so take a look and see what you can find and see how far your budget can stretch.

One word of warning, read the small print before buying, is there a restriction on day of the week or an expiry date that would make the deal worthless to you due to your trip plans?  Also don’t forget to print your vouchers to take with you.
