Du Vin & Bistro Poole – Hotel Review

Last weekend I had the pleasure to stay at Hotel Du Vin & Bistro Poole.  It is a small hotel in a Georgian House in the Old Quay area of Poole. There are 38 rooms of high quality as well as a bistro, bar, and wine cellar. It’s location in the old part of town reminded me of parts of Boston and is great for a wander around. There are shops, pubs and cafes if the seaside weather isn’t cooperating.

The staff were attentive and friendly as well as efficient.  The room I stayed in was a Terrace room with a balcony big enough for a nice 2 seater table and chair set. The room was well appointed with all the the amities one would expect, hair-dryer, iron and ironing board, etc. As well there was a caffetiere for your morning coffee, a nice selection of teas and fresh milk.  The bed was very comfortable, soft, lots of fluffy pillows, just what one wants for a good night sleep. The bathroom was a good size, had heated floors (which I love), great shower pressure, nice deep tub and good lighting.

I was sad to leave after only one night there, and I look forward to my next Du Vin experience.
