Over 10 000 runners participate in the various races run over the weekend, from the 4.2k Youth run to the 42.2k Full Marathon, there is something for all levels of runners. The races start and finishes near the old Town Clock on Brunswick Street, taking in Halifax and Dartmouth’s beautiful landmarks, lakes, historic downtown streets, and scenic parks (check out the video below).
I am always amazed by people who run marathons. The Blue Nose Marathon being in Halifax, with all it’s steep hills, is an especially challenging route.
If you are in Halifax be sure to get out to support the runners (if you are running it I would love to hear from you). If you are a marathon runner consider signing up for next year, you will run a very challenging, scenic marathon and get a visit to beautiful Nova Scotia as well.
